For the sake of our environment

We are aware of our responsibility with regard to scrap tyre recycling. Scrap tyres mainly consist of natural raw materials which should be sensibly recycled in the interest of everyone. We therefore joined the ZARA initiative in 2016 – the certified scrap tyre disposal companies collaborated in order to increase awareness of the companies which recycle their scrap tyres in a responsible and sensible way.

It is also our goal to increase public awareness of proper scrap tyre disposal in order to prevent illegal tyre dumping in areas of woodland, for example. A total of 12 members who are organised into the Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur-Handwerk e.V. are committed to sustainable handling of scrap tyres.

Documentation – so that you can be sure

As well as sensible recycling of the scrap tyres, continuous and transparent documentation of the environmentally friendly disposal of scrap tyres is required. Each tyre can be traced exactly. We know where our scrap tyres come from and where they end up.

Scrap tyre recycling is an essential process that not only benefits the environment but also contributes to a sustainable future. Tyres are one of the most significant sources of waste worldwide, and their disposal poses a considerable challenge to environmentalists and waste management organizations.

Recycling tyres is an effective way to reduce the negative impact of waste tyres on the environment. Recycling involves the collection of used tyres, processing them to remove any impurities, and then breaking them down into their constituent materials for reuse. These materials can be repurposed for various applications, including construction materials, road surfaces, and even as fuel.

One of the biggest benefits of scrap tyre recycling is the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. When tyres are dumped in landfills or burned, they release toxic gases into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change. By recycling tyres, we can significantly reduce the amount of greenhouse gases released into the environment, helping to mitigate the impact of climate change.

Moreover, recycling tyres also helps to conserve natural resources. By reusing the raw materials obtained from tyres, we reduce the need for virgin materials, which requires the extraction and processing of natural resources. This not only conserves natural resources but also reduces the associated carbon footprint and energy consumption.

Another significant benefit of scrap tyre recycling is the reduction of waste in landfills. With the increasing amount of waste generated globally, recycling tyres can help to alleviate the burden on landfills. The recycled materials from tyres can be used to create a range of products, reducing the need for new materials and minimizing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.

In conclusion, scrap tyre recycling is a vital process that benefits the environment and promotes sustainability. By recycling tyres, we can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve natural resources, and reduce waste in landfills. As individuals, we can support scrap tyre recycling by ensuring our old tyres are collected and processed responsibly. As a society, we can encourage more investment in recycling technologies and promote policies that prioritize the recycling of waste tyres.
